About the Author
Loriano Ballarin is associate professor of Zoology at the Dept of Biology, University of Padova (Faculty of Science). He got his Master in Biological Sciences at the University of Pisa and the Licence in Biology of the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa in 1982. After some research experiences abroad (University of Zurich, CH; Glaxo, Ware, UK) and in Italy (Glaxo S.p.A., Verona) he got his PhD in Evolutionary Biology at the University of Padova in 1989. His main interest is to elucidate the role of hemocytes in immunobiology of marine invertebrates, with particular reference to ascidians.

Matteo Cammarata is the author and co-author of more than 100 scientific paper published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and scientific books and has been an invited speaker at various international and national scientific conferences. His research interests are focused on the main mechanisms of the cell-mediated immune system and its evolution and even on vertebrate and invertebrate commercial species for transferability component of biotechnology achievements.

Sohel Akhter is a program management consultant, trainer, and an adjunct professor for City University of New York's MBA program. He is a top-level management professional with a distinguished management history of over fifteen years in information technology, networking, and software engineering within multiple industry settings.
Among Sohel's many other specialties are: PMO setup, WI MAX deployment, SAP implementation, strategic planning, business automation, and enterprise solution. Additionally, he has led many companies to success with his excellent project management skills, including banks, multinationals, SMB, IT service providers, and ISPs. My number 1 ranked PMP study material

In studying for my PMP exam, I have examined and trail-studied many-many books; Trying to ultimately find one main book to study from, which would provide the most fluid information, and prepare me the most for the exam.

Sohel Akhter's book was by far the most fitting and my number one selection. I used this book as my main study material.

I like the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Exam prep, best mainly because of a few key reasons

1. Format
Format is set up so it flows orderly and set up with many visuals, so to help one better remember the concepts and points. This booked promoted better memorization for me

2. Content :
Content is very complete with detail and outlines areas of key importance. This allows one to understand both the "How-to" details, and operations of project management, while highlighting areas which are especially prone to be tested / asked in the exam...

3. Practice exercises
Exercises are set up very logical, and allow fundamental progression to occur. The explanations are the best and most complete which I have come across, and the practice exam section is questions just like the exam

I strongly recommend this book. It has helped me out tremendously and I believe it is the best material out there for PMP exam prep.

FYI - I also have the Cheat-Sheet,(PMP Quick Reference Guide) by the same author "Sohel Akhter" .... it is fantastic and a must as well. It outlines the most critical parts to know for the PMP exam and it is a great to help memorization.

An absolute value-add for a prospective PMP

This book is truly ‘the asset’ to help anyone clear the PMP exam, by focusing only on its contents – ‘end to end’, for one month. It does deliver all that it promises, it easies the PMP journey.
This book was my primary source of study for the PMP exam (beyond some sample questions on the internet). Now that I have cleared the PMP in my first attempt, I would recommend this book highly, as being the only source that is thoroughly focused in ensuring that it equips you with the right mix of contents, delivered in a clear concise format to pass the exam in the first attempt. The exam is tough and unconditionally demands the kind of focus that this book delivers. The sample questions in this book give a clear perspective of how the exam questions would be structured – this probably is the only source you would need if you want to get things right the first time.
Besides setting the exam perspective, it has many real world examples that would serve as high-quality reference material for actual project management.
I had attended the training course that the author of this book handled, in Dec 2013 and used his study materials. I got this book which the author recommended to me in Mar 2014 for the practice questions. I studied this book end to end and ensured that I solved all the sample questions including the 200 sample exam questions included at the end of this book. It was all totally worth it!

The Indept PMP Exam Prep Manual

Prior to purchasing this book, I read through Andy Crowe's "The PMP Exam". Although Andy's book have a lot of good information regarding the PMP exam, Sohel Akhter's book offers more information and details not only about what is required to pass the PMP exam but also how to be a Professional Project Manager. This these reasons, I highly recommend Akhter's Project Management Professional Exam prep. In addition, the questions at the end of each chapter are challenging. Happy reading fellow managers.

Very good detailed map.

This is an update for me, and continues Michelin's tradition of making excellent maps. My sole complaint is that to have such a detailed map it has to be pretty big, with half the country on each side of the paper, and I wouldn't open it in a breeze.

About the Author
Sheikh Muzaffer Ozak, who passed from the world in 1985, was born in Istanbul in 1916 into a Sufi family. He was educated by a succession of wise and learned teachers who instructed him in both traditional Islam and Sufism. He became Imam at a number of mosques, then left to run his bookshop in the famous Istanbul book market, which specialized in rare and antique books. He also became a prolific author in the Turkish language. For twenty years he was Sheikh (or spiritual teacher) of the Sufi order known as the Halveti-Jerrahis. Extensive travels took him, not only throughout the Middle East but also to the Balkan countries, Western Europe and the United States, where he founded a number of branches of the Halveti Jerrahi Order.

The sweetness of the spiritual intoxication that caressed me as I read, "The Unveiling of Love: Sufism and the Remembrance of God" has been unforgettable.

The late Sheik Muzaffer Ozak, who was the renowned spiritual leader of The Halveti-Jerrahi Order of sufi dervishes (mystic followers of Islam) in Istanbul, Turkey wrote the "Unveiling of Love: Sufism and the Remembrance of God" in a way that transforms and interprets the mystical understanding of Islam into an exciting and refreshing indulgence for beginners and veterans of mystical studies.

The poetic and comfortable writing style of Sheikh Muzaffer Ozak is vividly elucidated in the plethora of Koranic stories he consistently bathes in eye opening interpretations that leave the reader helplessly salivating for more and more of this spiritual rendezvous.

i red this book has very nice storys but in the chapter of the spiritual guide , it says even when u r dead the spititual guide will be with u to give u answer to munkar and nakir question, i was like what the hellllllll this is impossible , i whole books talks about cleansing urself and find the way which is correct but then it says u can cheat the angels r u seriousss u must be kidding, i highly think that is not true and the sheik wouldnt never had said that becasue in one of his other books it doesnt mention this subject. over all i think this one sentence who ever added it made me upset . i read all the hadith volumes and many sufi books. but this is realli sadd to c this sentence that the spititual guide will help u in ur grave , no one can help u exept allah host high most merciful most gracious

About the Author
Dean of the School of Business at Queens University, Canada. He has coauthored several articles on negotiation, conflict resolution, employee voice, and organizational justice. Prior to accepting his current appointment, he was director of the McGill MBA Japan program in Tokyo, and he has traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, and South America.

Dean’s Distinguished Teaching Professor and Professor of Management and Human Resources at the Max. M. Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University. He has authored or edited 24 books, as well as numerous research articles. Professor Lewicki has served as the president of the International Association of Conflict Management. He received the first David Bradford Outstanding Educator award from the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society for his contributions to the field of teaching in negotiation and dispute resolution.

Professor of Management and Sociology at Vanderbilt University. His research on negotiation, influence, power, and justice has appeared in numerous scholarly journals and volumes. Professor Barry is a past-president of the International Association for Conflict Management (2002–2003), and a past chair of the Academy of Management Conflict Management Division.

Great text, terrible medium.

The text was fine, everything that I needed for my class and more. However, I was frustrated by way the information was presented.

By and large I have been impressed with Kindle products and Amazon altogether. The publisher made this impossible to load onto the actual Kindle because sizes couldn't be changed at all, I'm not sure for the purpose of this. Also, I couldn't read it on my Kindle application on my PC because, in an effort to cut down on illicit copying, they made it impossible to change the size on the application.

All in all, it made the reading of the textbook nearly impossible. I'm certain that this is the beginning, not the end of textbooks via e-books but I was unimpressed and frustrated with the content restrictions. I will not purchase any more items from this publisher and would advise you to do likewise.

It is a good read with excellent illustrations of the concepts being taught

Lewicki's work was a required textbook for a gradate course that I'm taking this summer (2016). It is a good read with excellent illustrations of the concepts being taught. As far as textbooks go, the scholars who wrote the book are also practitioners in the art of negotiation and conflict resolution.

There are so many restrictions on this book. like I got for a class and I can not highlight!!! it will not operate on a computer... so annoyn! Does the publishher not relize that this is usse as a textbbook not for personal reading... ccant believe it..HORRIBLE DONT BBUY...Would have rather waited t get scanned copies of tthe chapters..

Proof Reading Takes a Vacation

Where to begin...what could be a great read is totally ruined by grammatical and formatting errors. I seriously doubt this book was every edited. Ever. Spacing, punctuation...I'm not even going to waste my time going on. It's a hot mess. I usually don't nitpick over grammar/formatting, but wow, is this bad. Totally distracting and at times painful to read.

Nice concept but thats it.

I really enjoy teacher/student romance stories but, this one was so far fetched. There were so many spelling and grammatical errors that I wanted to stop reading. The problem with me is if I spend money on something I need to finish it. The cost of this book was way to much and it felt like it was written by a little girl. It was written in first person which I love but the MC kept saying the same thing. If I heard our eyes locked or the desire in his eyes one more time I would have screamed. What was with the school in general if the principal had suspicions he should have done something about it. The teacher Ms. Leighton was worse than a fifteen year old girl going through puberty. She knew that Tyler wanted nothing to do with her but she kept pressing him.

The book just seemed a bit much. The characters hardly developed and it pissed me off. Even though the teachers were in their twenties they acted like children. Then her best friend Lucy just disappeared by the end and we don't know what happened with her. The summary of the story seemed nice and I gave it a shot. Not a happy shopper! Maybe this was the authors first time publishing. She should have edited and edited and edited. Also she needed to fix the story line.

I know when you read it's to get lost in a different world and time. This was just to over the top!!!

To get romanticly involved with one teacher was enough with a good story line, but two teachers........no, I don't think so. That's a bit over the top. Cassidy's conduct was extremely immature in the class room and when the crap hit the fan Mr. Spencer tucked tail and ran. Very un-alpha like. So not my thing.
