About the Author
Roger Meredith is a Chartered Engineer and a graduate of the University of Bristol in Electrical Engineering. He received his practical training at the British-Thomson Houston Co., Rugby, joining the radar engineering department in 1953. Over the next 15 years he was concerned with all aspects of microwave engineering in radar systems, including high power transmitters. In 1968 he formed Magnetronics Ltd, specialising in industrial microwave energy through the design and manufacture of process equipment. In the late 1980s the company was acquired by APV Ltd. He took early retirement in 1992 and is now consultant to selected clients. He has presented several papers at international conferences and is co-author of Industrial Microwave Heating (IEE, 1983). He served with the British National Committee for Electroheat for many years and is inventor of several patents on microwave topics.

About the Author
James T. Ellis, PhD, BCBA-D earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology from West Virginia University and is a licensed psychologist and board certified behavior analyst. For over 20 years, Dr. Ellis has provided services for children with autism spectrum disorders and their families. In 2008, he helped found the Step by Step School for Children with Autism in Guyana, South America and in 2012, he founded Step by Step Behavioral Solutions, through which he continues to provide consultation and therapeutic support to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their families.

Christine Almeida, MSEd, EdS, BCBA earned her MSEd in Special Education and EdS in Behavioral Education from Simmons College in Boston, MA. Ms. Almeida is a practicing board certified behavior analyst in the Boston area who has worked in both private and public schools. She currently provides oversight of services for young children with autism spectrum disorders for a public school. Ms. Almeida has presented workshops at the local, regional, and national levels on the subjects of educational assessment, play intervention, and social skills.

First; it should be said that is book is so short I do not know how it could be called a book and not an article of some sort.

Having said that; what was there was well written and exciting.

you may care to read the m missy books of female domination and male submission and sissy maids as they are better and much longer.
One series is 17 books long and over 4000 pages that will excite you and surprise you at every turn; m missy books are like nothing else on the market and like nothing else you have ever read before.

Briefer, but not more concise...

I own every single edition of Clinical Ocular Pharmacology. The first edition of this work did an excellent job in pointing out basic pharmaceutical priniciples to start the work off. The second edtion did this to a lesser extent and subsequent edtions ignored them all together.

Editons three and beyond DID gradually expand specific Ocular treatment plans and disease descriptions more and more.

Then this edtion came along.

Certain drugs, which had been discussed in every single prior edtion were not even mentioned, and the treatment given to diseases and pharmaceuticals alike was abbreviatd.

This was the first edition which in at least some way did not surpass it's predecessor.

An overpriced dissappointment.

Love, love, love this book. For anyone who thinks grammar is a dry and boring subject, give this book a shot. It's written so well, with witty repartee and excellent story telling, you won't want to put it down! Yes, that's right. I said that you won't want to put a "grammar" book down. You can tell the editors really enjoy what they do, and they bring their joy in language construction and syntax to their readers. Must have!

I purchased this book for a graduate English studies course. I am an absolute fan of Anne Curzan. This text not only offers detailed instruction on linguistics, Curzan does a fantastic job of making it interesting and modern. It does not read like a traditional textbook, but like the jovial professor giving a detailed lecture in etymology and linguistic elements. Very well formatted and easy to read. Highly recommended for courses in linguistics and personal studies.

Purchased this for use in a grad school class and liked it enough to keep it for future reference. I'm not the kind of person to keep every single textbook I purchase and usually sell them used after the class ends. This one however is a keeper. Lots of interesting information that can be referenced time and again.

Nellie Stone Johnson currently lives in Minneapolis. She maintained her own business as a seamstress until her early 90s, and continues to be active in politics as a life member of the NAACP and the National Council for Negro Women. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Urban League's Cecil E. Newman Humanitarian Award, and holds an honorary degree from St. Cloud State University.

David Brauer is a freelance writer and the Minnesota correspondent for Newsweek and the Chicago Tribune. An award-winning journalist, he is a contributing editor for Mpls.St.Paul magazine.

Nellie Stone Johnson is a major force in Minnesota and national politics. In this lucid oral history from Brauer, the Minnesota correspondent for Newsweek and the Chicago Tribune, she modestly reflects on her campaign during most of the 20th-century to improve educational and job opportunities and health care. Johnson recounts her prosperous farm beginnings with a father who organized other farmers in the face of corporate greed, racism and regionalism. One of eight children, she explains the credo of her clan, which refused to be rigidly defined simply by being African-American, as evidenced by her father's involvement in progressive and New Deal politics (largely defined by white, Southern Democrats) at a time when most African-Americans still voted for the party of Lincoln. Influenced by her father's activism, Johnson later became a union organizer, enduring two failed marriages that fell victim to her single-minded devotion to her work. She commends FDR's administration for the commitment to end federal discrimination, but openly admits that racism played a major role in her own decision not to run for Congress. After her union pals ousted her from office because of her left-wing leanings, she became a seamstress while retaining an abiding interest in politics. Age did little to slow her down as she swapped ideas with Thurgood Marshall, served a long stint with the Democratic National Committee from 1979 to 1988, toured Africa and battled with white feminists over the inclusion of women of color in the ERA fight. Brauer skillfully conveys the story of an inspiring and noble woman, still active in her 90s, who has made every minute of her life count.

A social activist, labor organizer, "third-generation feminist," Johnson has devoted her entire life to political change. Now 95 years old, she is still busy, dictating her life story. Raised by farming parents who valued education, hard work, and equal rights, she was an activist from the day she learned to speak. She brought on change by organizing labor unions in the days when being affiliated with unions was dangerous. After unions were accepted in work environments, she was free to pursue more public activities, such as politics. Although she did not graduate from college, she is a lifelong learner and holds an honorary degree from St. Cloud (Minnesota) State University. Because the book is presented as an oral history, and Johnson has a tendency to ramble, it could use a bit of editing for organization, but on the whole, it is a fascinating look into the life of a powerful, energetic woman.
